Digital Impact & has over 20 years of experience in developing engaging and impactful political campaigns. Although we’re specialized in helping our clients with their digital campaign needs, we provide full electoral campaign support from strategy to implementation. This includes campaign strategy, targeting, message development, field programs, mail programs, campaign websites, and peer to peer text message communications, in addition to our specialty digital advertising.
Every political campaign needs have a digital strategy. Social media is a great place to build a community, engage with your existing community, and get people to take action. During the current pandemic, digital is one of the only strategies that is still available for political campaigns.
Our digital advertising programs are built to capitalize on traditional relational organizing models and complement the campaign’s more traditional outreach methods. This amplifies the brand impact, name ID, and eventual vote behavior down ticket.
Our overlapping tactical approach combines multiple outreach methods to meet voters where they are. The relational messaging and brand building via these outreach methods allows voters to build a relationship with the candidate prior to the candidate asking for their vote.
We approach this process by creating an engagement funnel that demonstrates ad engagement and message penetration. We want to make sure that your message is heard and that’s why we develop a remarketing funnel that pushes an evolving message to your targeted voters. We will help you develop innovative content that keeps your audience engaged and motivates them to take action.
Digital Impact & is ready to help you whether you need a fully developed campaign strategy or just somebody to place your digital ads. We are competitively priced and will create a campaign plan based on your budget.
DI& provided electoral campaign support from strategy to implementation for Dr. Akilah Weber who ran for La Mesa City Council. We helped create her campaign plan, including a field program, mail pieces, text messaging strategy, and digital advertising program. Dr. Weber succeeded in connecting with voters through multiple platforms, and gained the most votes in her City Council race, beating the incumbents.
From 2010-2018, we worked with Councilmember David Alvarez creating a marketing and communications program that helped the Councilmember build his established brand as a fighter for the community. We created a multi-channel communications program distributed via social media, printed collateral, online advertising, email, and livestream support. During the Councilmember’s tenure, his name ID and brand recognition increased from just under 4% to a high of 68%.
DI& was hired to help Matthew Leyba-Gonzalez build strong community roots in his adopted home of Imperial Beach. To build connections to the community during COVID-19, our team designed an overlapping organic social media strategy, social media advocacy group, and SMS program to build connections virtually. Over the course of this campaign, Mathews' support grew propelling him to a commanding victory over his opponent. These commanding victories were not shared by all candidates in Imperial Beach.
DI& helped La Mesa Councilmember Colin Parent reach thousands of voters via text messages. Our relational organizing model applied to SMS text messaging started with engaging the electorate with questions about them and then built up to talking more about the candidate. We were able to provide the Councilmember with key insights in the most pressing and important issues in the City and allow him the ability to address his constituents’ concerns directly. Our program communicated with almost 8,500 people and helped the Councilmember establish a stronger and more personal connection with his constituents.
